SUPPORT BACKHAUSDANCE

When you donate to Backhausdance, you’re making it possible to bring the joy and art of dance and education into the lives of youth, families, adults, seniors. Your generosity, advocacy and passion for Backhausdance (and all dance) makes a huge difference and it is essential! Your gift is needed to sustain the creative work of our professional dancers and artistic staff for our 19th season, 2021-2022, and as we look ahead to celebrating our 20th anniversary year in 2022-2023! Dance transforms our community, inspires learning and creativity, and is connected to our overall social-emotional health and well-being.

The global pandemic has had a severe impact on Backhausdance’s operations since March 2020, when all live rehearsals, performances, and education programs in schools and our community were suspended for almost 2 years. We greatly missed the close-up and personal connection we had with our audiences during that time and are overjoyed now to return to  live programming following CDC health and safety guidelines. We are hopeful that we can rebuild from our financial loss though your valuable contributions to get us back on track.

Your donation of any amount - $10, $20, $50 and above - helps us raise funds for our company dancers and staff so that we may continue our programming and expand our reach to make a greater influence through dance for our community and beyond. Did you know that dance accounts for only 2% of all of the arts classes offered in California middle and high schools? More than ever, dance and creative movement are essential to bring joy, recovery, and healing to all!

Choose your designation for your contribution:

On behalf of Jenny Backhaus, Artistic Director and Founder, and our Board of Directors, thank you! We’re dancing our hearts out!

Together we are cultivating the next generation of dancers and artists, and are stronger than ever.
