Wilson Mendieta is an Associate Professor in Dance at Chapman University. Education: MFA degree in dance, and a certificate in nonprofit management from UW’s Evans School of Public Affairs from the University of Washington; BFA degree in acting and a B.A. minor in dance from Montclair State University. Performing credits include: television and radio spots, commercials, concert dance companies and Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals. Choreography: seen throughout the United States, including The Kennedy Center, and invited to festivals in Venezuela, Colombia and Australia. Research on how to better equip performing arts students for sustained careers in their fields: invited for presentation at several international conferences. Service: panelist for several arts funding organizations including The National Endowment for the Arts.
