The first work on the program, Incandescent, explores the shadow and light of the human experience. Performed under a canopy of illuminated lightbulbs, the dancers attempt to find and share the light within themselves. The second piece, The Elasticity of the Almost, finds the dancers ferociously moving amongst a moving sea of thousands of red balls. Conceptually driven by the juxtaposition of structure and chaos, the piece deals with fragmentation, multiplicity and our ability to negotiate a constantly changing environment. The dancers attack each new moment with skill, passion, immediacy, and a sense of humor.
