Backhausdance I'm wriing from the cab, heading to JFK to go back to the real world. It's a bit sad to say goodbye to this project after so many months of planning and preperation but it couldn't have gone any better.
To say that a small company from Orange County California can bring 12 dancers and a full production crew to New York, sell out two nights, get an amazing response from the audience and have the company perform perhaps two of the best shows in the company's 7 years is a huge accomplishment in my book.
I'm very proud to have been a part of this success (even if it's a smaller behind-the-scenes roll) and I'm even more proud to say that every single drop of energy and money that was poured into this project was evident on stage. Way to go Backhausdance.
Your Executive Director.
