CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, & RESIDENCIES

Backhausdance can provide ongoing classes, short-term residencies, or one-time workshops that connect to 21st century learning and career readiness skills and health and wellness. Programs are available for all age groups: from grades TK - 12, seniors, adults, families/multigenerational and can be held at schools, organizations or community sites.

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Backhausdance can provide ongoing dance classes or one-off workshops for people of all ages in community organizations all over Southern California.

RESIDENCIES

Residencies are multiple session workshop series of 4 or more classes or sessions that around academic or SEL themeslike anti-bullying, arts & literature, or STEAM..

ASSEMBLIES & PERFORMANCES

Backhausdance can provide assemblies and performances that connect to 21st century learning and career readiness skills and health and wellness. Assemblies are 45-60 minute performances by Backhausdance company members with audience participation and question-and-answer section.

COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES

Performances by Backhausdance company members that inspires audience members and can connect to concepts like visual art inspiring performance art, community-building, and more.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Backhausdance is committed to cultivating the next generation of artists. Through master classes and our annual summer dance program, aspiring professionals can receive personalized mentoring from Backhausdance and explore their artistic voice.

ANNUAL SUMMER INTENSIVE

Our annual Summer Intensive provides high-caliber training programs for aspiring and experienced artists ages 12 to professional. and supports the technical growth and artistic development of the contemporary dancer. Learn more at www.backhausdance.org/intensive.

MASTER CLASSES OR RESIDENCIES

Backhausdance master classes and residencies are representative of the movement style and vocabulary of the company. Classes are crafted to give dancers the technical ability to find balance between control and release and explore their artistic expression.

ARTIST SERIES

Experienced high school and college/university dancers have the unique opportunity to participate in workshops with visiting choreographers!
