AMANDA WHITE hails from St. Charles, Missouri and is a founding member of Backhausdance. Amanda graduated cum laude with honors from Chapman University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Advertising. While attending Chapman she received the Gray Key, Outstanding Contribution in Dance and Outstanding Senior Choreographer. Besides dancing, Amanda’s other passion is choreography. She has choreographed for the American Celebration, Chapman Touring Company, American College Dance Festival, and Chapman University faculty concert. Amanda has been a faculty member at Chapman University since 2005 and Mission Viejo Dance and Performing Arts Center since 2002. Along with teaching at MVDPAC, she also directs their national award winning dance team.
