Backhausdance grants a limited number of talent scholarships to its summer intensive. To be considered, you must attend a virtual scholarship audition or submit a video audition (scroll down for details).

Backhausdance does not require an audition for admission. Auditions are for scholarship consideration only.

VIDEO AUDITION GUIDELINES

Video Submission Fee: $20

Video auditions will be considered for dancers unable to attend a livestream audition. Footage should be between 3 and 5 minutes in length and include the following:

  • Brief Self-Introduction: Name, Brief Description of Previous Training

  • Technique Samples: Barre or Center Work (Plies, Tendus, Extensions, Across the Floor Progressions of Turns and/or Jumps, etc)

  • Phrasework Sample(s): Variations, Improvisations and/or Choreography

Video submissions will be accepted beginning January 10th through February 28th, 2021.
